News & Updates: April 27th.

Hello Chobots,

Wow, I did not post on the blog for a while. I guess that the team members of the blog were doing their jobs perfectly!

Today is finally Saturday, and the week is almost over. Do you have any plans for your weekend? Leave us a comment and tell us! Also, we are going to have a big fashion party tomorrow, at 9:00 PM Cho-time, at the Disco Lounge. An entrance to the Disco Lounge has been added at the Cafe Street. Here is how much time left until the party:

Moving on. Today, a new feature was introduced to the Chobots world - the market.
The market is like an improved version of the old "Actions House" that was available a few months ago. In the market, you can sell your own items by placing a bid on them, choosing when will the bid expire, and letting the other users place higher bids; The highest bid wins!

Getting into the market is very easy. You can go to the market by clicking on the "Market" button at the top of the page, or by clicking on this link: http://chobots.net/market.

The market has three shelves, with 4 items on each each shelf. Above the items, you can see the price of the current bid on the item, how many people bid their money on this item, and how much time left until the bid expires.

To start bidding, you need to log in to the system first. At the bottom of the page, you can see a light blue menu bar, that says "Welcome, guest! Click here to login to the auction house!". Press on the word "here". You will be re-directed to the login page. Use your Chobot's account details (name and password to log in).

After logging in, you will see that the light blue menu bar at the bottom has been updated. There are now 4 buttons there: Home, My Auctions, Add Funds, Feedback/Bugs, and Logout.

First of all, click on add funds. You will be redirected to a page where you will be able to transfer bugs from your actual Chobots account to your market account. You can choose one of the basic options, to add a specific number of bugs. You can also choose one of the percentage-of-your-bugs options, to add 5% of your bugs amount, 10%, 25%, 50%, 75%, or 100%.

After adding an amount of bugs to your market account, go back to the light blue menu at the bottom of the page, and click on "Home", you will be redirected to the home page of the market.

Now, after adding an amount of bugs to your market account, you can bid different amounts of bugs on other's bid. To do that, first of all you will need to choose the item that you would like to get. Check the other pages of the market, there are cool items there too. After you found the item that you would like to get, hover with your mouse over it. A green button with the word "BID" on it will appear, click it. You will be redirected to the item's bid page. In this page, you can see who listed the item that you want, a picture of it, its original price, and a text box for your bid.

Besides that, there is a small explanation about bidding at the bottom of the page:
Note: By pressing "Place Bid," you're confirming that you would like to purchase this item up for sale in the Chobots Market. By doing so, you're ensuring you'll be able to pay for the item if you win. At the end of the bidding period if you don't have enough bugs to cover your costs, your account will be held until you either a) Place enough bugs into your Market account to cover the cost, or b) Forfeit the item and be barred from the Chobots Market.
So before you place your bid, make sure that you have enough money on your market account.

Moving on. If you are wondering how to add your items to the market, that is very simple. To do it, you will have to log in to the game, and head to your wardrobe. After opening it, you will probably notice the new light blue bin at the bottom left corner of your wardrobe.

*Note: The Y badge is not really in your wardrobe, it was added to copyright the picture.

If you will hover with your mouse over the new light blue bin, a small window that says "Send an item to the market" will appear. To send an item to the market, just drag it into the light blue bin. After doing it, you will be redirected to the auction creation page. Set a starting bid price, and the expiration date of the auction.

After that, you could find your item in one of the market pages between other different items by different users.

After your bid will expire, you will be informed about it, and you will have an option to confirm the item transfer and the receiving of the bugs, or cancel your bid. If you will cancel your bid, 5000 bugs will be taken away from your market account as a fee.
If you placed a bid on an item and the seller decided to cancel it, you will receive 110% of your winning bid.

If you already listed an item, or placed a bid, you can check how it is going by clicking on the "My Auctions" button in the light blue menu bar at the bottom of the page. You will be redirected to a page with two shelves; a shelf with the items that you listed and a shelf with the items that you placed a bid on.

The system is pretty new and still has some bugs. If you would like to send feedback about the market, or you found a bug or a glitch, send/report it by clicking the "Feedback/Bugs" button in the light blue menu bar at the bottom of the page. You will be redirected to a page where you will have to choose if you are reporting a bug or giving a feedback. Then, write your feedback/bug in the text box, and send your message. A team member will review after a short period of time.

So that is pretty much every thing about the new market. I hope that everyone likes it. It is a great place for users to trade items and receive bugs!

Moving on. About a week ago our team introduced a new project on this blog - Project CHP. We noticed that many users started working hard to collect Chohelp Points, to get one of the sweet prizes from the catalog. The team and I thought, why not make it more interesting? That is why we added 3 new items to the catalog! Take a look:

Try to click on the green button. It will open a different catalog page with explanations about every item.

Besides the catalog update, we saw that many bloggers have small sidebars on their blogs. That is why we decided to create 2 new banners that will fit the small sidebars! You can get them from the widgets page.

Our final blog update for today is a brand new header! This time the blog moved into the purple space edition. As you can see, Peace is not on the header anymore; Art is.

So that is everything for now! Thank you for reading my very long post. Our blog is going to get a few more updates in the next few days, We will let you know when the updates will be released. Stay tuned!

Update: The market has been updated again! First of all, some buttons in the light blue menu bar at the bottom of the page have been renamed; "Home" is now "Market", and "Add Funds" is now "Manage Funds".

The bugs transferring now works in two directions - you can add bugs from your Chobots account to your market account, and add bugs that you earned by winning auctions from your market account to your Chobots account.

If you would like to use an advanced search to find good auctions, you can use the new search options at the top of the market home page! You can now search auctions by a certain user (remember to write his full username), and to use some filters; Most recent, oldest, ending soon, least expensive, most expensive, fewest bids & most bids.

Another update is that you can now see how many people viewed an auction! The views number is placed under the seller's username.

When an auction is over, the seller needs to accept / deny the item/bugs transfer. For example, I opened an auction for the Nicho costume and a user won. I opened the auction, and had to choose between 2 buttons; Complete Transaction or Deny Transaction. Note: If you deny the auction, your item will be returned to you and you will be billed 5000 bugs for your listing.

And the final update is the in-game market bin in your wardrobe. It has been re-colored. The bin is now light blue and orange, and you can see a shadow behind it.

And those are all the extra updates. Enjoy!
